Where is Marco Polo??

From Croatia. Marco Polo was born asMarco Pilich in Korcula, Dalmatia in 1254, when a Dalmatian was protektura of Venice.

The original title was: "Million" - now do not know why - and quickly became popular as the "Million Lies." Sam Marco Polo,  already rich and famous merchant, was called "Signore Million. Maybe it's just a version of the XIII century of titles such as "A wonderful book about miracles. None of the original manuscript has not been preserved to this day.

It is further alleged that Marco Polo is dovesal in Italy pasta and ice cream. In fact, pasta is known in Arab countries from the IX century, and dry pasta are mentioned in Genoa in 1279, 25 years before the return of Marco Polo.

According to historian Alan Davidson himself myth was created in 1929when he was told in an American magazine advertising. Ice cream may be a Chinese invention, but is unlikely to be brought to the West by Marco Polo, because it is not mentioned at all by mid- seventeenth century.
